Totally, James!

Kids have the energy, creativity and intelligence to create their own projects. I think it's great that they're being given opportunities to be "in charge"!

it shows why kids should be incharge more often

Also, I just got an update about the DeforestAction movie. It's been shot and is being edited. They're aiming for a release date in June 2013 smile

It'll be about students' work and projects on DeforestAction, as well as the "Eco Warriors" on site in Borneo, looking at the effects of deforestation on communities and the reforestation projects.

I'm really looking forward to that!

Great input indeed. Until recently we saw that the nature can be harsh on the actions of the humans by laying a snow clad cover on the European nations ans also in the US. So the deforestation issue is not only limited to affect the Orangutans but also a great lot to humans in a long run. The conditions need strong action on the developed and the developing countries.

Thanks everybody for following the DeforestACTION project and the documentary film being made about the project - Rise of the Eco-Warriors!

We've been hard at work editing a series of educational clips and teasers for the film. View the latest clip

Next week, our film crew and three of the Eco-warriors (Liza, Ben and Perry) head back to Borneo with Dr Willie Smits to check progress of the Sintang Orangutan Center since they left Indonesia in June 2012.

The film will be released in theaters starting in the second half of 2013.

Please follow us on Facebook for the latest news and updates!

Hi there, we're launching to the education community in June 2013 at the EduTech conference in Brisbane, Australia. Then, we'll be running screenings for schools in theaters around Australia in August 2013. Then in October 2013 for the general public. The the public release schedule for other countries will be announced later in the year depended on which countries want to take it and screen it.

I think this is a well made program, but some very inspired people would love to control more than one plot of land.It just doesnt feel that meaningful when you and a bunch of other people only own one block of land

But still, I love how this allows me to make a difference in the borneo rainforest

This is great! You should get into contact with "On With It" (OWL) they are a group of students who look for stories of human ingeniuty and focus on the postitive side of the news.
