Anthony,

Certainly youth have a great influence in all revolutions. But revolutions that do not use the experience and wise of the ex-youth (I mean older ones) might not be suitably successful. For example, look at Libya. Few young officers ruled the country until they became older. Although it seems they had some achievements but they did not make strong foundations. Running a nation is not easy. People (all citizens and not some of them) are entitled to have their rights. It includes the youth and the old, all tribes and all colors. I wish that happen for Africa and particularly for your country.

About Egypt. You may witness what is happening by looking at what happened in the parliamentary elections.

Anthony, power of youth and wise of old have always given excellent results.

seriously, the way things are going in africa especially,.one can believe there wont be a change but i strongly disagree with people that say there cant be a change in africa. its
only a matter of time but that time is what we dont have; the rate at which people are dying and suffering, its alarming. hope and prayers i think are what we need in this trying times

Dear Elizabeth,
You are right. Such changes need courage, intellect and continuous challenging work.

What Africa need is a young generation of leaders with Fresh ideas and renewed energy. We also need a powerful youth force that will put these leaders to task regarding the mandate that they are supposed to pursue...In fact, a young and youthful generation of leaders will be the first step to eradicating all problems that Africa is incurring right now.

Surprisingly I see no one specifically Africans giving solutions.

Looking at the developed world, we witness three major factors that have influenced those societies.

1- Freedom of Press: or relative freedom of the press which lets the oppositions act like a watchdog so that less corruption might occur. As we all know power usually brings corruption (personally I am not in total agreement with the kind of freedom that they enjoy. For example I do not agree with pornography).

2- Tax: this is fundamental for running any society. The developed world has had more success than the undeveloped world.

3- Social Security: this is also a key for Justis.

Africa and the undeveloped world could look at what they can do to at least achieve these three goals.
