Global Collaboration Questions

I am a graduate student at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania working toward my Digital Literacy certification. I am currently taking Technology Design and Global Collaboration. Our assignment is to reach out globally to experienced educators who have already run an activity in their classroom where students have collaborated globally. Would you mind taking the time to answer a few questions about collaborating globally? The responses do not need to be lengthy, simply stating your classroom experiences. Please let me know if you can offer some feedback.
Thank you in advance!

Global Activities Classroom Teacher Questions (please select 3-4 questions)
¨ Does your school district administration support implementing web-based global activities in your school?
¨ Did you have any professional development trainings prior to participating in global activities?
¨ Did your grade level team also partake in the global collaboration activities?
¨ Into what part of the core curriculum did you integrate the use of the web-based collaboration?
¨ Was your global collaboration with another classroom, civic organization, service learning project, etc.?
¨ Did the project cross interdisciplinary subject matter?
¨ How did you align the project to the state standards?
¨ Did you have your students’ parents involved?
¨ How did you and your students foster an on-going collaborative relationship?
¨ What was the time-line for your project?
¨ How did you schedule organized time to focus on the global collaborative project?
¨ What invaluable experiences did your students take away from the project?
¨ What would you keep the same/do differently in your next web-based global activity?
