Here is a really good document on "How to Establish a Multi-purpose Community Telecenter in Africa".

The document outlines the basic types of telecentres, to comprehensive management and fundraising issues. There are so many details!!
The purpose of this discussion thread is to find out more about initiatives providing access to information through telecentres. Do you use these telecentres yourself? What would you change? Will people, who have never used these technologies before, make use of these centres? Who will teach them to use a fax machine, the internet, or e-mail? What things do we have to consider in varying developing regions? Will they be "waisted" on games called "Fish"? OR will they use it toupdate themselves on health issues, politics, etc.?
