40 years, there are always loud voice battle between Pro Life and Pro Choice community. Both organizations receive tons of contributions. Yet, no one address about ectogenesis, an alternative to abortion. Ectogenesis could benefits both communities. Every time I bring up that topic they seems avoid to discuss or have no "interests". That really annoyed me. I hope you have something to say about it..
Here's the article my friend wrote.
I looked up the technology, medical publications, whatever I could find. There are Doctors doing the research out there. I posted the links on the Group site. It all started from a Science fiction book back in the late 60's, the same concepts were used to create the technological real world in the movie "The Matrix", and the Movie "The Abyss" was letting a little bit of truth out in a movie none the less, the pink liquid that the Navy seal stuck the White Rat into, and forced him to stay under with a cages...was real. That is liquid breathing, at that point in time when that movie aired, the Navy had already been using it for a few years.
A Doctor at Temple University in Philadelphia, whom was working with the US Navy with breathable liquid which is "Oxygenated Perfluerocarbon", stumbled onto using this same liquid for premature babies, by injecting the liquid into the infants lungs...it was a crap shoot, and a last ditch effort when he approached this family to try it out, but the family agreed, and they now have a 15 yr old girl who attends a magnate school in Philadelphia, and she plays 8 different musical instruments, and is extremely smart. This alone has knocked back "Viability" to 19 weeks, versus 21 weeks outlined in most abortion laws.
Another Doctor Hung-Ching Liu, Ph.D., was attempting to re-create from scratch (ones own cells) a replacement uterus for women that cannot bare children due to different types of diseases. Some disallow the fertilized egg to attach to the womb (research into this probably led to some of the abortofacient Birth control pills). She finally succeeded in growing one, and attempted to take it a step further...using In-vitro fertilization to attempt to impregnate the womb, and it worked...at least for the 5 days she was allowed to by law.
I too believe the science should be allowed to flourish, and potentially eliminate this horrible act of irresponsibility...in my eyes thats all abortion is...yes there are some rape and incest cases...however they are less then 2% of the 1.4 million abortions per year.
My opinion. I think endless debate over abortion has exhausted and wasted most value time to invest something new like ectogenesis.
