The United Kingdom has virtually outlawed photography.
December 12, 2009 - 01:59 PM

Anybody visiting the UK in general and London in particular, had better not bring a decent camera to take their snaps with, as the police and other official busy bodies will stop you. The police will cite anti-terrorist laws as if you were casing the streets for targets.

The tourists with their small, yet still quite powerful cameras and camera-phones are taking unlimited snaps with the possibility of hundreds of terrorists in their midst. Yet whip out your Nikon or Canon with a good lens and the police are all over you.

The UK is rapidly becoming a police state worse than the terrible Communists because all those smug little Englanders go around saying 'Well if you have nothing to hide there is nothing to worry about.'

A law is brought in to tackle one thing and the authorities realise they can use it for a whole host of things. Local councils are using sophisticated surveillance teams to tackle dog fouling. They are scanning a street for a dog doing its business on the pavement whilst around the corner street gangs are dealing drugs, spraying graffiti and terrorising the old and vulnerable. What a joke.

It has just come out that the anti terrorist law that is used for this outrage, is also used for stop and search, a fact that has been challenged in the law courts and found to be illegal.

This has been used 400 time a day without a single terrorist being caught.

I find it incredible that the population is made to jump through hoops every day for no outcome.

Every terrorist outrage has been carried out by people known to the security services, but because they like to keep information to themselves and not share it with the different departments and outfits, they get away with it.

So whilst we get harassed, the terrorists, despite being known, are free to blow us all to kingdom come.

Wow... this is quite unbelievable. How is a decent camera connected with terrorism?
