Does anyone know why Al Gore has cancelled his speeches and trip and has decided not to attend the conference?

I find this very interesting,
If he did go, he would then be speaking on a subject, he is well versed in.
But I would think, in my mind and thoughts
He would be speaking against Obammas ideas of what he wants to bring to the table.
It would look very bad, for his personal views on Global issues, to apposed to those of his wife, and President.
I think he is play a polictical card
call grace, it would hard on those from the USA to watch 2 people from the same country have 2 different views of who they should be interpriting the Statics before them.

So you think Al Gore will not go because he will be speaking out against what President Obama wants to bring to the table. I would like to ask you what are you refering to?
What does Obama want to bring to the table?
You also think Gore is playing a Political card of grace so that the American people do not have to be divided between what Al Gore views are and what Obama wants to bring to the table?
I really think you should clarify these points becuase Im having difficulty understanding this. I thought Obama and Gore were united on the Climate change/ Global Warming front.
Also Al Gore has also been phasing out some of his Book signings in America..is he sick or something?..what is going on?
Copenhagen is days away and Obama is only going for the opening day and Gore isnt going at all with both of these Nobel Prize winners not participating fully dont you think this distractcs from the nobility of this prizes they won and takes away from the Momentum of the greatest threat of our times.
Where is the leadership?
We need more input here as I think there are more questions than answers
