Global currency = One monetary system
Does global currency reduce economic recessions across countries around the world ? Yes ? Why ? No ? Why not ? And please discuss how can we solve international recession ?

Sounds like good idea. Atleast will reduces hassles of currency conversion.

Gentlemen...
I'm very disappointed in your lack of understanding in regard to monetary and fiscal policy. If the world had one currency, political bureaucrats would needlessly print money to create inflation. Its actually happening now in your country. Theres a genuine consensus in Washington that a weak dollar would lead to an export boom. Throughout history no country has been able to spur economic growth by debasing its currency. One global currency would lead to chaos and wealth depreciation. Politicians and central planners would destroy whatever value there is in the currency.
If such a nightmare were to ever become a reality, I'd buy gold and hold it until I join my ancestors.

Kabo Harold ,
Yes. I agreed with you strongly. Did you watch IOUSA, documentary film on national debts, ? A reason why I brought up the topic so I can educate to the people through discussions. Peace.

Hi reggie
Its great to see somebody my age agreeing with the principles of sound money and prudent fiscal and monetary policy. In my country Botswana, entitlement programs and bloated government are being touted by irresponsible politicians thirsty for a vote. To answer your question, I didn't watch the IOUSA movie but I did read the book. Its really disheartening to see a once prosperous nation making such poor economic decisions. Although I have a soft spot for President Obama, I disagree with his policy of tax, tax and tax. Most people say that money is the root cause of all evil. I say that personal income taxes are the root of all evil. At the rate US politicians are going, Americans my age wont have a financial incentive to start and grow their businesses.
Keep up the good work Reggie. People need to know the truth and by fostering a debate on currency issues, more individuals will be enlightened on global concerns. In conclusion, I'd like to invite you and everybody reading this blog, to visit the Ludwg Von Mises Institute website. I happen to be a libertarian and scholar of the Austrian School of Economics. Cheers!

Hi to Reggie and Kabo Harold,
I admire that you both seem to know so much but having never taken an economics class in my life or ever becoming interested in financial matters until now (though the media has higlighted the recession big-time, fortunately I haven't seen much change in my area) I'd like to ask if you could please explain to me? The extent I know is about inflation - studying post-war Weirmar Republic in 1923 Germany which is a perfect example.
I apologize for my ignorance but if you help I would be grateful. It feels like I've been hiding under a rock on these issues that affect too many of us but as teens you don't take much notice of it.
Thanks.

Hi.........
I think there should be a global currency because it makes the world do there actions on one defined standered currency.
Thank You

True. Until I see people talking about recession on TV I didn't care much about it. Even if we don't play an active role in the economy we are soon to be.
It's good to be prepared than late.

having a global currency will take world economy a new heights...the main point is whether we can do this with current situation....because each an every country has different plans on their economic goals.....but if we achieve this goal it will be very effective in international trading and will make a proper platform to trade the goods and services...yet the tariff barriers, inter government differences will bring restrictions....
