Friends. the issue of climate change must be looked at from various angles and not just one point as we might not achieve our target.
Therefore, in my opinion, we can achieve our target on climate change if we launch an aggressive war on extreme poverty around the world which are serious factors affecting climate change.
For instance, in most developing countries where extreme poverty is the order of the day, all the activities of the population depend on the environment for their daily survival. These activities include; cutting down of trees for coal burning, sand mining, stone mining, timber logging etc all causing deforestation and and other things. Factor is seriously damaging the environment thereby leading to climate change.
This is why i will be launching a campaign on extreme poverty starting from January 2010 in post war Sierra leone in West Africa through the Millinium village project which will try to tackle issues relating to the 8 MDGs.Therefore, I am inviting everyone with interest in such project with any available skill or talent looking at the 8 goals of the MDGs.
