Dear All,
We would like to invite the students of your school with great delight, to EuroAsia MUN (Model United Nations) 2009 Training and Development Conference, organized by the Model United Nations Association (MBMB) between 20-22 November 2009 in TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Ankara.
EuroAsia MUN is a United Nations simulation training and development conference, organized by the MBMB with the academic and logistic assistance of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkey. During this conference, the participants will be defending the policies of different countries on certain topics in the committees that are present in the United Nations structure. In other words, the participants will be the delegates and thus the representatives of their assigned countries throughout the conference.
EuroAsia MUN 2009 accepts participants with different experience levels, both from high schools and universities. Under the light of our past experiences, it has been decided that this year an academic and organizational restructuring would be in order. In the past years the
EuroAsia MUN has acted as a ‘training’ conference for all the participants, whereas this year the aim is to work with two different participant profiles. In this sense, the participants who have experience and previously received MUN training will have a platform suitable for academic improvement while taking part in advanced debates. On the other hand, the organization will act as a training conference for the inexperienced participants who have received no or insufficient MUN training.
However, it should be stated that the new system that is being adopted will have no effect on the traditional vision of EuroAsia MUN or MBMD, being the establishment of the MUN culture
within Turkey and the preparation of the participants for future national and/or international conferences. It is our belief that participants coming from different backgrounds and age groups have a leading role in the development of new ideas, and thus a great contribution in the content
of the conference.
In this year’s conference, six (6) different topics will be discussed in six (6) different model committees and commissions, and the assignments of the participants will be made according to their experience levels. The participants will be notified about their delegation and committee/commission allocations prior to the conference.
***Lastly we would like to add that six (6) participants, who will be seen worthy of an Outstanding Delegate Award in the EuroAsia MUN 2009 Training and Development Conference, will have the opportunity to take part in MUNTR (Model United Nations Turkey) 2010 Conference, the most comprehensive MUN Conference of Turkey and neighboring countries organized by our association between the dates (1-5 March 2010), without paying the participation fee.***

This is an education conference called pre-MUN TR. International MUN Turkey Conference will be held in Antalya between 1-5 March 2010.
