Oracle OpenWorld Out Of This World Gov. Schwarzenegger Surprise Guest

It was an event fit for an “Oracle”. There was no recession at Oracle World, even Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger showed up as a surprise guest. Oracle OpenWorld is Oracle’s conference for it customers, partners, developers, and technology enthusiasts.
Larry Ellison was in ship shape. He demoed the Fusion product – a very complex product – he cracked many jokes and managed to keep the audience of some 40,000 engaged for about an hour.
The Governor told the some 40,000 attendees that he, too, is a big fan of technology and that technology has always been a big part of his life. He said when he took office six years ago, California lagged many states in IT and now it is in the top five. He told the audience that California is a great place to do business and asked the attendees to stay a few extra days after the conference and spend some extra money to help out the State of California.
Besides the sessions and business networking events, the parties were out of this world. There was no expense spared. Aerosmith, Roger Daltry from The Who, and The Wailers of the backup band for Bob Marley kept the attendees engaged all night and who were plied with wine, beer, food and games.
