Greetings from CAP Foundation- India,
The CAP Foundation in the last year, has initiated work with traffic victims in Mumbai and Nepal, refugees and migrant workers from Nepal, Bangladesh and Srilanka, besides working with youth from nomadic and displaced communities, tribals across the country and tsunami victims in Tamilnadu and Srilanka
The Foundation specializes in working with the most deprived, vulnerable and difficult to reach sections of young and women communities at risk and has a very strong gender perspective.
Building on its successfully demonstrated demand-driven, labour market- oriented employability & placement model, CAP through this new project (Safe Overseas Labour Migration- especially Gulf region ) attempts to address the issue of preparing potential migrants, and assist them to receive pre- migration related employability skills training , certification and placement.
We are facing few constraints in grounding the project in Hyderabad, Chennai and Haryana, all in India.
I would like your views,ideas, suggestions and assistance in implementation and also any information of any person / organisation in India working on similar issues.
