How can your leader represent you at the Copenhagen Climate Summit if they don't even show up? How can they say they are safeguarding the future if they don't take personal responsibility for the result?
Call them now - Just click the link below and join the campaign

Once again, you are using the wrong words. You cannot save the planet because the planet is bigger than mankind. We are just a part of the green smear that inhabits the surface of this huge rock that is hurtling through space.
What you mean to say is can we do anything to modify the toxins we have allowed and positively encouraged to pollute our atmosphere.
The governments can posture and project but they will not vote to reduce their economic growth and if they will not do this, then it is all just window dressing to keep the noisy campaigners quiet because they know that the majority of their voters still want to be able to consume products at the same prodigious rate the has brought us to the parlous state in the first place.
I am afraid mankind has to get used to the idea that climate really is a thing that lasts longer than a generation, than several generations. We can try to do our little bit but at the end of the day it is the equivalent of trying to put a plaster on a hole in the Hoover or some other Dam.
Live in the dark and the cold and be smug in the knowledge that you have made such an infinitesimal contribution to the problem that it really was a waste of time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.

We are just a part of the green smear that inhabits the surface of this huge rock that is hurtling through space.
Here I sinsercly Disagree
as hard as you can look
you can not find the Green Smear
on any other planet
We are alive, and have a purpose
to spread life
The hurtling Rock, that has such a unque ability to make new kinds of life
after ever thaw the worlds ice age's
no two thaws have produced the same animals, or humans
as people are discovering
each fertil cycle, is anew
even people
The governments can posture and project but they will not vote to reduce their economic growth and if they will not do this, then it is all just window dressing to keep the noisy campaigners quiet because they know that the majority of their voters still want to be able to consume products at the same prodigious rate the has brought us to the parlous state in the first place.
these are words I am in Full agreement
if leaders do not lead
it will be very difficult for mankind to sucseed
a plaster on a hole in the Hoover or some other Dam.
Unless someone Dreams up a new way to make the plasters, and a new way to plaster them
Nasesity is the Mother of Inventions
not quoted properly
Inventions will be our saving grace
The Technology, has yet to be invented,
or yet to put into practise
a waste of time
once again, I do not think the same
Looking for solutions can never be a waste of Time
But the Bright young minds
I have read on this sight
lead me to belive
our Future is Bright
without Dark and Dirty fuel
Could it be that is what Big Busness is really afraid of
New Ideas from the YOUNG
And those minds who are gathering
to share, explore, and create
I can imaging, to the Power companys
who seem to have a large say in everyones gov.
That is the Lose of Wealth and Power
threw Bight young Minds
and sharing
that have the cameras out in England
As History tells it
It has always been the FREE Men of the West, (tolken)
Who have stood first
and W Churchill was close to scoft at
Until he lead the charge
and when it was over, once again
they retired him, even thou
He saw all this coming!!
I enjoy reading all these posts
as it make me excited to see some many people who are passionate about the changes in our Future
To the Future
Love

I am thankful that kids today are very much aware of the things they need to do to help save our planet. It is not unusual for me to hear kids as young as 5 and 6 offering suggestions such as let's turn off the lights when we are not using them, let's use recyclable bags, let's just walk, etc. They are conscious of everyday activities and are making a conscious effort to help in their own little way.

Just a thought that had not occurred to me. When the Vikings discovered the place, they called it Greenland. Now, did they call it Greenland because it was white and covered in ice and snow? No it was because it was covered in grass and trees, was a great place to grow wheat and other crops and to graze animals.
So it would seem that this warming could be part of the cyclical nature of climate.
If we were about to plunge into an ice age, would the environmentalists be encouraging us to burn more fossil fuels to put more CO2 to warm the planet ?
I think we are just tinkering and that the planet is bigger than the specs of life that temporarily crawl about on its surface. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.

I love this train of thought, because it opens up more topics, to the problem.
The ever Changing planet!
But the filth that is saturating the air, has reached a critiqual mass, as it holds in too much heat
Now some say we are heading for a mass global warming, and some say and Ice age.
But what is known and not encougaed is the world is Ever changeing
and those who do not change along with it. Seast to function,
Like the speiaces of Man, before Homo Sapians,
The storys of the Titians, when Zeus the son of Cronos, over came them, as new man was formed, and the storys of how they found fire.
Is it that the Planet is in Danger, or is it that Homo Sapians are at the end of their reign.
Life depends on the ability to adapt
what if we Like the Titans, or some call Cro- mag. man, just fall into the past.
As a Grandmother, I look forward to generations and generations to come, even when I am gone.
Becuase I believe not all Human's have fallen to the Dark Power, of coruption and the need to make money out of turning the Living Planet, into a planet in crisis.
Each Ice Age, life is different no two have been alike, so far I can see no reason why that should be different just becuase it is our time.
But I do belive the Planet itself is a living thing, as old stars make new
and that all Living things Change
I like your observations, on the changing of the cycles.
But I still think we need to clean up our mess, before we pass it on.
to the Future
Love

Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction, for while all the attention is on the reduction in CO2, our water is being polluted by a number of different toxins.
Notwithstanding the illegal dumping of toxic waste in the oceans, our water is being polluted in a number of other ways. Benzine, which is an important part of unleaded petrol, is leaching into the water table from the petrol tanks of the petrol stations. That is why you are seeing loads of them closing down to have the tanks dug up and replaced. Then there is all those hormones that we women take in the form of birth control pills, that get flushed down the toilet and cause fish and other species to change sex.
The toilet also receives all the old medicines and any other nasty liquid we want to get rid of.
Then there is all the fertilizers and pesticides that run off the land and into our streams and rivers that will get into the fish stocks and into our bodies.
Could be this will get us before the excess CO2 does. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.

I thni that the subject is so vast,
and as we come to the understanding that not everyone wants a cleaner, and Healthy Future
For it means less money and power to those few, who are elite enought to be able to get their way.
Are we doing all we can?
Is the subject large then we knew?

It would be a delicious irony that the amount of CO2 generated by the Copenhagen meeting was just enough to tip the planet into uncontrollable warming. It won't. But you have to wonder about a conference that will cost more than the Gross National Profit of Malawi is not a vast insult to the smaller developing nations.
The environMENTALists have become the new Zionists as they label anybody who has the temerity to question them as ' Climate Denyists' trying to play the Holocaust card to marginalise them. Yet look at the reality. This is a bloody great rock hurtling through space with many thousands of volcanoes chucking up CO2 24 hours a day, with the Sun burning brighter, then dimmer, followed by the ocean currents which warm then cool, all of which will affect the climate as well as the weather. These deluded fools think that by stopping a few SUVs and turning off the lights will affect this massive orb. How bloody arrogant to think they can tinker around like some anal retentive who is always fussing over his thermostat. From now on they will be called the Canuteists, with the understanding that at least Canute knew he couldn't turn back the tide, unlike these deluded fools.
What they do have, of course, is an unlimited gravy train they can ride, funded by the stupid green taxes that governments are grinning whilst they bring them in.
First it was the cold war, when that went it was global terrorism, now it is global warming. Your governments have a great way of distracting they citizens away from the real social issues. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.
