A Step Towards Understanding
October 20, 2003 - 03:15 AM

I live in a small community in Missouri, USA, where diversity isn't viewed as a good thing. But there are quite a few people here who are working very hard to make a difference. I am president of a club at my high school called International Club. Its based on celebrating diversity and spreading knowledge and understanding of it. Every other year he host a cutural diversity fair, where we sit up displays about as many different places, foods, activities, religions, and as many other things as we can pull together. When I found this program I thought, what better place to find interesting information? So in closing, if anyone has any advice or ideas for me, it would be great to hear about them!!!

that´s great to hear that you are working on this issue. yes, better understanding of cultural diversity - our various behavior - can lead to a peaceful together. IF PEOPLE WANT TO ...

i´d be interested in your work at the university. if you got a brochure (pref. electronically), plz mail me at: laurent@straskraba.net

at the moment i´m working for a multi-language and multi-culture e-content diversity awareness initiative for austrian SMEs on similar issues.

you can find more information about cultural diversity at this conference, where i will take part:

take good care,
laurent

Thank you Laurent!

I'm very interested in your work too. I'm sure I can pick up a lot from it for my own work. I am not yet at a university, but am a senior high school. I know this is completely out of the question, but if your in the traveling mood, you could speak at our fair.
