What is a miracle?

What is a miracle? A million definitions about and it definitely means various thing to different people based on their religious inclinations.
A thousand years ,the internet would have been viewed as something beyond human powers; the giant strides in various fields of human endeavor could have passed as miracles. Our common penicillin would have saved a million lives in the dark ages; and would certainly qualify as miracle if obtainable then.
Fortunately, human knowledge has made erstwhile task seem effortless and ordinary in the face of discoveries and innovations. If human knowledge comes from God, is it wrong to label these modern discoveries as miracles? Are people justified when they await and expect further miracles from God when they should accept available medical treatment? Why would a patient with renal failure refuse dialysis and resort to prayers; only to ask God ‘why’ at the last minute?
Is it not a miracle that man stumbled on knowledge about some health conditions? Why must people’s health be the mercy of their faith?

Miracle is something illusion, unseen, unheard and invisible, but happens suddenly, which is amazing.
