The idea of brainwashing is customarily associated more with techniques of political indoctrination rather than with methods of teaching. However, I cannot help wondering to what extent some "brainwashing" might occur as a benevolent form of education.
Perhaps, it would be useful for teachers and students, and the public in general, to know something about the process generally called "brainwashing" as currently understood. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The earth’s average surface temperature has increased by about 0.7°C during the last century. Education is not brainwashing. It is acquiring knowledge and skills that you need in order to develop yourself as well as others.

It depends on what is being taught and how it is taught. If somebody is taught to despise a person, hate them and it is done regularly, they will subconsciously feel negatively about the person. It is the responsibility of the teacher to take care and educate people so as to prevent altering attitudes of people.

This is also a debatable question.
First of all we have to define what is education?
School education, lectures given by various groups, Newspapers and other electronic media are can also be considered as different types of educational platforms.
Anyway I feel that this forum discusses about school -level education.
No doubt that theoretically courses covered at school level are also some kind of brainwash. The best example is religious subjects. When students are taught this subject their brains are washed according to the religious taught.
The other example is mathematics. Our number system is based on base 10. The students brains are washed to identify 25 as 2 * 10 + 5 = 25.
This is also a some kind of a bainwash. Isn't it? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank You

I don't think that brain-washing is Education, Education is to make people aware of right and wrong, but the brain-washing don't.

It is debatable... I do believe that based on how you are taught a subject, you will automatically adopt certain beliefs and mannerisms...
For example, obtaining an education in a catholic school. Unless the religion teachers give an unbiased summary of a few other faiths considered enemies of the church, you are likely to as well think those other religions evil.
Another example would be the media, business. One company might advertise falsehoods about another, or they might advertise unpleasant truths. Once consumers become aware of the negative advertisements, they will become less inclined to accept services from the attacked company.
The young do tend to adopt what they see and hear, or so I have noticed...
If anything, I'd say that the only way to avoid brainwashing entirely while obtaining an education would be to acquire the required information with no human element, to gain the information as purely emotionless data.
But that in itself does cause a problem. Children have nearly died from lack of human contact.

Education itself is not brainwashing. Education is too common and endless notion to be considered as brainwashing. If one educates people in unbiased way and tries to inculcate as much knowledge as it possible it is not brainwashing
Another situation occurs when somebody gives people specific knowledge and tests to reveal their abilities and then proposes better future in developed countries
