Refugees should be a burden to the country who owns them. But the question is who should be eligible for it.Say,a person is being prosecuted in one country and being accepted by other, then why not any sports person who gets banned in his country be allowed to play from any other country. It should be left to the law of that country to decide the fate of the accused and in no way be allowed to take refuge in any other country.Refugees in no way be acceptable.angry

Say no to refugees, its really a burden to a country who accepts them. Its really pity that one country prosecute someone and the other accepts or protect them. What about the Law of that country should it not be respected. If a banned sportsmen cant play from other nation then the same may be followed in all the cases what so ever.Refugees in my sense should not be accepted or entertained.

no i do not think they are, they are providing the country with diversity and other views. I dont think they are a burden and if they were the host country wouldnt take them in, i think this is very much like the family. would you call your own children a burden?

I don't think refugees are a burden (as much as our leaders seem to think).

I agree with others in that they enrich a community.

Not unless they can provide some service to society. If they can take on roles that other people in the society would not usually take, then they are more than essential in the society.

The denial of health care services to refugees by the federal government may save some money in the short term, but it goes against all the principles of primary health care. It denies accessibility of health care to new comers using living permit as a barrier.
It also jeopardizes the goal to promote health, since the control of who gets health care lies at the hands of immigration papers than the people and the health care system.
The fact that the government is unwilling to listen to the protests of nurses, doctors and other community members, against the denial of care to refugees, also wipes out the relevance of public participation and intersectoral collaboration in our primary health care system.

Only those that come to America with no intentions of becoming citizens. These people will only bring more costs onto the shoulders of the taxpayers by leeching off of our government's social programs like welfare and food stamps.
