Leaders United
August 25, 2009 - 09:07 PM

A young future leaders can we not join together and commit to a world where violence and injustice are the lesser forces? Eating my dinner tonight made me think of how many have no homes, how many have no warm dinners to go home to or no pillow to rest there heads. I remembered how many people i saw one the roads begging, bruised, hurt in so many ways...... i feel a great pain within my heart for these people and am desperate to change it all. As the future leaders of this world, can we commit that we will do all we can do combat this? Can we gain the support of charitable and service organizations that will aid us in our quest to firstly stomp out world hunger? If we all take a stand who can tell us no?
I believe the answer lies within us forming a group or union...something of that nature.. a group that will do all the charity drives or work or petitions necessary to raise money that can aid in water treatment plants or greenhouses or others methods to aid the needy. I cannot sit idly by knowing people are suffering...

Otis, you are absolutely correct. This is what in most of the countries in the world pass by. But there are no leaders or such thinker who can contribute for this. They die with obese and these people die with hunger. Let's unite to fight against this descrimination and give them an example.

hmmm, thinking the 1st step is to get established within our own countries, do what we can in our local groups to raise awareness and build upon it. Groups like Kiwanis club or Rotaract Club(depending on where you are) should be willing to help. I think setting up an account, and pooling contributions over a period of time can also be of use.(Could take a while depending on where you are and what not). All the money collected will be put together to form the funds that will build the plants. A estimate of the cost for a water treatment plant would be good.
http://www.pall.com/water_40778.asp....that seems like a good one but I can't get a price for it. If anyone has any other thoughts that'd be good smile
