Question of Euthanasia
July 29, 2009 - 08:19 PM

Hello fellow TIGers!
Although this question seems only right now to be in the political backdrop, I really think it would be interesting to hear some opinions concerning the euthanasia conflict. Is euthanasia moral or immoral? Can voluntary euthanasia be at times justified, while in other cases be unjustifiable? In what countries is euthanasia legal and under what terms?
I would be delighted to hear your input on this subject.

I know one thing for sure, I would never want to be in the shoes of the person who "euthenizes" someone terminally ill. Maybe we shouldn't have the system of life support in hospitals.
I don't think euthanasia is morally right at all. There have been cases where people have recovered from what was thought to be terminal illness. So if that person had agreed to VE and then had survived ? I feel its like murdering someone with their consent. We may in the future be able to find a cure to so many diseases or even minimize pain to a great extent. I think we must let our cells , our bodies chart their own course towards life or death.

That article is so great! But aside from that breaking report let me impart new concern to you. It's not every day someone like Lynette Fromme gets out of prison. Lynette Fromme was released from Federal Prison after serving a 34 year sentence. Fromme, known as Squeaky, was associated with the Manson Family. Fromme was not part of the party that went on a rampage at Roman Polanski's home that killed Sharon Tate and several others. She only knew Charles Manson via correspondence, and pulled a gun on then President Ford. No amount of payday loans can bail a person out of that one. Lynette Fromme didn't kill anyone, but she's been released, and might need a job and some cash advances to start over.
