Under-representation of female child labourers?

Child Labour is a horrible thing.
Little if not a well-known fact.
Recently, I was scanning the net for stories, case studies, and narratives about female child labourers for an article that Im writing regarding the same topic.
I found zilch, zero, nothing.
But I did end up finding various case studies done on the success stories of male child labourers. 
Do you think this is an intended bias? Are female child labourers really under-represented in the media as they appear?
