what do you thing about "the special student"?

i am a beginner to be a guide and also a teacher for some autism children. Sometimes, i got some problem to handle about them. I thought, they have a characteristic each other. But i don't know yet what is their character.
Regularly, i take them to see and say "hello" to the groups of wild dolphin whom we can find surround on our coastal. I was surprise when i saw them to scream about their sight of the dolphins. I was happy, because i thought this is a new method that i want to improve than old. But, i can make a decision about my new method for handling "my special student" exactly.
sometime, my friend who had been a autism teacher ask me, "why did you gave a treatment like that?Because, there were some 'expert dolphin' could teach them".
Actually, i was not agree about their method. Because, they use some dolphins what have been catching from their habitat and give them (the dolphins) a training to be a autism teacher.
Then i choose to get a new method that i am doing now at the end. Actually, for the first time, i was confusing to do, because i was a beginner.
Would you share to me about this situation?

I think the special student is that who is respectful to his teacher because teacher is the one who lets him know his life and build up his career. I don't think the student who only gets highest mark in the class and top the school is the special student, student to be special should bear all the positive characters and he/she should be all rounder. One should be experienced in all the fields of life to be more practical.
