Dear distinguished colleagues,
We invite you to participate into a unique event:
A three week online discussion, starting next week and discussing future concepts in African higher education.
The initative is called "Universities 2.0" and it is a series of face-to-face workshops in Africa and online events
which aims at exploring to empower African higher eductaion.
Please find the graphically visualised outcomes of all workshops (Dakar and Maastricht, 2009) here: (http://science-connect.net/?q=node/581),
showing challenges, opportunities etc. on the path to University 2.0.
Today we would like to reach out to you and extent an invitation to take part in an international online discussion starting next week and finishing at the end of the month, before everybody leaves for summer vacation :-)

The process: Starting Monday July 6th, 2009, the online discussion will start with a welcome of the moderator,
Dr. Virginie Aimard, who explains about the topic, the procedure and the rules for discussion.
This will be followed by a short statement/message
of international experts that spark the discussion. At the end of each week a moderator
summarizes the discussion before another expert gives input for the next week's topic.
