maternal mortality

over the years the maternal mortalitry in developing countries has been increasing even as that in the developed countries are decreaing steadily, it is sad to note that more than 95% of all maternal deaths occur in Africa. What do you think our problem is, is it that we don't love our women folks or that they are just not important enough to save?

My knowledge splits that the most of the cases of maternal death is due to the improper BMI during their pregnancy period. The main thing to be noted is the balance of nutritious diet during gestation. Not only there but in most of the developing countries the same problem is seen. Another main reason is the lack of awareness and knowledge. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sun-e-boy (सूर्य)
