Movie: Food, Inc

Has anyone watched this docu-film Food,Inc ? Its about how big businesses control what Americans eat.
The movie also talks about how a bag of chips is cheaper than a bag of carrots.
What do you think you should do so that healthier food is cheaper than junk food, processed packaged food ?

Hmmmm.... question seems to be pretty tough for working women & men!
But the answer is simple.... learn cooking, as far as possible avoid consuming packaged food! Appreciate the nature and feel the healthy appetite. People need to be educated on balanced diet and how easily they get it when they prepare their own food.

I've heard about that movie, but I haven't seen it yet!
I think that it is pretty sad to see that a bag of carrots costs more than a bag of chips.
I personally have found that at the grocery store trying to buy organic is quite expensive especially during a recession.
Organic and regular food & crops takes more effort & care compared to the mass production of junk-foods in factories.
Although junk foods are a part of most people's diets in North America and the world, it'd be nice to buy organic and regular crops for cheaper prices.
Speaking of which, crops tend to be cheaper during the summer months when there is an abundance, so take advantage of this!

I haven't seen this movie yet. Seems interesting. I agree with Siddiq though. The best way to get cheap, healthy and nutritious food is by learning how to cook.

Hey, this is a bit of a late reply, but the movie only just came out in the UK. However, I just watched it and thought it was spot on with the message it was trying to put across. A really well researched movie. I even discovered a web site where you can talk about the movie, it's at http://www.goodwithfilm.com/

Haven'y seen the movie but understand the sentiments, one thing is to grow your own. Even if you don't have a garden, you can grow some stuff.
Here in the UK, there are urban guerilla gardeners who plant up public spaces with vegetables, herbs and fruit trees for people to pick. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.
