Creativity South of The Sahara

My dear friends from South of The Sahara; I read some very provoking material recently. Someone seemed to imply that apart from craft works; there is nothing creative that can be associated with Africa South of the Sahara.
I went thinking, and I remembered the stereotypes of old about the African mind. To what extent is true? do you know anything creative, anything that has benefited the whole world that can be associated with Africa south of the Sahara?
Is corruption and inefficiency our only ingenuity?

I don't know if cuisine or food habits come under creativity, but I've heard of some delicious tasting local stuff in regions south of the Sahara. Its upto you to tell us more about creativity in these regions.

Mmmh! food and preparation ingenuity? Well, all a peoples necessarily had their way of preparing food. I agree, in this i.e. cuisine and stuff, people south of the Sahara must necessarily be creative.
Somebody mentioned athletes; but I reckon athletics does not need much creativity.. it is more of a physical capability. Am just wondering; is there any known genius, creative thing that can be associated with Africa south of the Sahara. I am still searching for that....
Will be glad to be educated

I am not aware of many people or innovations but I think Wangari mathai could be considered creative because her idea of a green belt was awesomely creative. Otherwise you might have heard about Afri gadget- Documentiing innovations in Africa.
