The whole word is talking about it.
Maya Calendar (The most accurate calendar so far) had warned of an unexpected future after 2012 DECEMBER 21 20:12. Chinese Oracle of i-Cheng has some similar views about it. All these predictions point towards a single day.
It's a contradiction , but no one has been able to prove these predictions to be wrong..
These Maya calendars were designed thousands of years ago , and still are so accurate that they can predict the solar and lunar eclipse in our time more accurately.
Moreover, Various Internet based web-bot indicate the usage of various resources to reach its peak around 2012.
However, Lets Have our feeling attached this rumour.

I don't thinkw e should really believe in doomsday predictions because when the world ends, we'll never be able to predict. However, I remember reading about this asterioid that could possibly hit Earth around 2013. I am not sure about the year but as far as I recall, its 2013. So who knows, in a couple of years we'll all die.
Ok, I'm going to say my goodbyes right now.   And reform myself.

Hmm, quite interesting.
I can't quite remember where I read this, but there is a very strong argument towards this issue. However not in its validity, but in its interpretation: Perhaps 2012 is significant, but not for the outcome we often assume. No earth blowing up, no cosmic catastrophe, but an evolution.
Some say, evolution of human consciousness. So perhaps, the end of our pre-existent modes of beliefs, an advance in human insight. I believe this argument has been put forth by many. Whether you are religious, agnositic or an athetist- this does seem like an optimistic approach to the theory, wouldn’t you say?

The Earth will be destroyed? Fingers crossed they are thinking of a metaphorical explosion.
Years are special because people make them special, so perhaps it's best not to think about this too much. Or talk about it.
It will hopefully turn out to be nothing. Ummm... Does this date coincide with anything else by any chance?

Well I really don't believe it, predicting is no job of a human being, but if it is true and we are going to be destroyed by 2012 it wouldn't matter anyway, we are all going to die someday and we never knew when and we should live everyday as if it is the last one, and knowing what day it is shouldn't make a difference, life goes on, doesn't it?

We actually cant say anything, there are various fact that really came true. The magical words spoke be some great people might come true. I have at least a bit believe in such matter.....

sometimes i think i believe in this kind of things.it is too scary.where did you hear that?i didnt hear anything about this.i remember i red something about the end of the world in a book by nosteradamus and he said it is going to be later than this.he even has predicted world war 3 in 2011.it isnt that far from us!

I think it is sad that people waste their time on such superstition. Why do people give so much credence to every soothsayer who comes along? Put your trust in science, not dishonest people trying to cause worry needlessly.

It may not be end of the world. According to maya calendar it was end on that date. There may be several reasons for that. Anyway some thing is going to happen on 2012 december 21. May be it is end of the world or may be something going to happen on that day.

that will be when I'm graduating from high school so your telling me when i graduate the end of the world is gonna come?
according to the bible the end of the world can not come before the second appearance of our savior Jesus Christ.
all this end of the world can not be proven in any way and its just a group of people opinion.
no human being can determined such things because it is only for god to know the future and how and when it will end.
