What are the effective ways to stop HIV

Whats your opinion about this health issue. After very long time we heard HIV keep on spreading to the world population and scientists never found one perfect remedy to it.
Many steps already given as precaution steps including health education, theology doctrine and practice, apparatus and tools; but not yet found a definite solution or total remedy to it.
Is there any possible way or system or practice to be implemented which able to reach a full stop to HIV from spreading to the world population.

The only way to prevent AIDS is use condom while having sex.

Sadly, prevention will be the only "cure" for quite a few years to come. Auto-immune diseases are like a foreign language to most scientists. There's obviously been some advancements, but only ways to control the disease.
I'd say, within the next few decades, there will be some type of cure, but that's quite long ways off.

Like Lance said I too think prevention is the best way. I'd hope for a vaccine, HIV may never be eradicated completely "a full stop to HIV from spreading" as you say, that may be too hopeful.
Also, condoms aside, mothers can still transmit it to their children.
