I have just read through the whole post again. The principle argument is related to morality. Morality is dictated by society and the individuals therein. 75 years ago premarital sex was considered a terrible threat to morality. In the 50's rock and roll music was a threat to morality. Biotechnology and science has been immoral for centuries, gene therapy, stem cells, genetically modified foods, etcetcetc.
My point is morality is a knee jerk reaction from people who are so stuck in the past and how things were when they grew up that they are unable to conceive of different sociatal mores. I have jewish friends who have dietary laws, they do not apply to me but I respect their beliefs and desires to follow that. I have friends who are muslim, I respect their belief structure and dietary laws. I went to school with Sikhs, who have specific dress codes. All of these ways of living are different from mine - why should I be allowed to dictate that their life style is wrong. Why should my religous beliefs or lack of them impinge on onthere. Basically the moral majority goes on about natural sex and family values and then goes and indulges in extra marital affairs.
The hypocrisy is really telling as well as nauseating. There is an English singer/songwritter called Tom Robbinson I would like to add a couple of verses from a song "Glad to be Gay" That describes the hypocisy and double standards found in the US and England when it comes to homosexuality.
The LA police are the best in the world
I don't believe one of these stories I've heard
About pretty policemen in leather and jeans
Showing their leg through a slit in the seams
Seeking out superstars, leading them on
Then running them in when they start to respond
But back home in Britain, we're equal and free
Except when the case is a Labour MP
Now young Matthew Shepherd was killed in the States,
And left alone dying, and tied to a gate,
For being a pretty and gay 21
He was murdered by thugs who thought killing was fun
At his funeral Christian love showed its face
As the bigots all picketed, twisted with hate
But God doesn't hate fags you sickos, it's true
He even loves people as evil as you
Pictures of naked young women are fun
In Titbits and Playboy, page three of The Sun
There's no nudes in Gay News our last magazine
But they still find excuses to call it obscene
Read how disgusting we are in the press
The News of The World and the Sunday Express
Molesters of children, corruptors of youth
It's there in the paper, it must be the truth
So sit back and watch as they close all our clubs
Arrest us for meeting and raid all our pubs
Make sure your boyfriend's at least 21
So only your friends and your brothers get done
Lie to your workmates, lie to your folks
Put down the queens and tell anti-queer jokes
Gay Lib's ridiculous, join their laughter
"The buggers are legal now,
what more are they after ?"
The verses are out of order but the feeling is there.

I don't know.
I think it could just be that you get some small minded people who are prepred to shout their mouths of alot more and they tend to be male.
I think there are women who feel strongly on the subject but on the whole have more sense about when to keep their mouths shut.

Everyone is different thats what makes this world a better place, life would be boring if everyone was the same!we all have our individual likes and dislikes i personally see nothing wrong in homsexuality you cant help who you are attracted to and for people that dislike it just dont look!i appreciate all people and respect them for who and what they are. Although no offence to the men it seems to me that men do have a stronger opinion to homosexuals. Can anyone tell me why?

I don't know about you guys but where I live, some people think that homosexuality is wrong but there are a few people that I know that are completely okay with it. I mean the country that I live in we have such rights/freedoms as freedom of speech, religion, etc. If we have those rights than what's the problem to express the right we all have to love whomever we choose to without it hurting anyone else?
