Tabacco is the second preventable condition in the world. Every year more than 5 million people are being killed by tabacco related diseases.
Tabacco is more dangerous than HIV/ Cancer. Be aware.

as they say Tobacco kills the man slowly
well.. they don't want to die fast!!
it's really hard to reduce the consumption of Tobacco
they already knew it's dangerous when they first made it... but they care about money... what to say more

A strong approach should be brought in order to stop tobacco consumption...I too am not sure about the approach...its deep rooted in maximum societies of the globe....as it is dangerous than HIV & AIDS, also to ask a person not to use tobacco is synonomous to ask a person not to eat food....if done it would be easily ignored....so what can be possible steps to stop tobacco consumption and its hazards... and make the WORLD TOBACCO DAY -'REMARKABLE ONE'

I have researched and yes it is one of the most dangerous drugs because it is legal. It would be nice to have all the stores of sell cigars for one day. It is important to see how people act without their addiction. People need to be aware of the harm that cigars are causing.

Smoking or chewing tobacco stimulates the habitual user, creating a pleasurable sensation not unlike a high. The effect is generally described as relaxing, although smoking releases the hormone epinephrine, which may create stress in the user.
Nicotine, perhaps the most commonly recognized ingredient of tobacco, is an addictive central nervous system stimulant. When nicotine is taken into the lungs, it is transmitted to the brain in seconds. It causes the heart to beat more rapidly, drawing in and pushing out more blood. It also makes the veins and arteries constrict, thus requiring the heart to labor harder. This results in increased blood pressure and heart rate.
Carbon monoxide is among the many toxic chemicals present in tobacco smoke. It impedes the ability of red blood cells to carry oxygen to bodily tissues, including heart and brain tissue. The lack of oxygen causes the heart to work harder and can lead to a thickening of the walls and possible heart failure.

Tobacco smokers are liable to die young so saif the packaging. If anyone chooses to die young let the perdon go get him or her self some cigar...lol

Ban on tobacco marketing can substantially reduce tobacco consumption and consequently tobacco-related deaths and diseases. Tobacco use is the number one preventable epidemic that the health community faces. Economies also suffer from increased health care costs and decreased productivity.
