No my friend, some societies are run in a way that girls are born totally unequal to boys. Some girls will be lucky to be born as if it is discovered the baby is a girl, it will be aborted.
They have few human rights, not being allowed to have a full education, not allowed to work, not even allowed to drive a car for heavens sake.
Governments like nothing better than to take away human rights if it suits their purpose to keep themselves in power.
In the 'civilized' societies, women do not receive equal pay nor equal opportunities when it comes to promotion.
There is still a very lot of work to do until we get equality.
Oh, here in the UK we do have female carpenters and blacksmiths. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Devizes knows a womens website that is rather good.

I think that men and women every where should be treated the exact same! when i here about other countries having women have to cover themselfs up or arn't allowed to leave the contry really angers me and i with they would have the same rights we do in north america

God or Allah created both men and women in his own image so part from the physical differences both of them are equal. There is nothing that a Man can do that a woman can't a typical example is in my country we now have the First female president in Africa.
