AIDS no dey show for face, Play safe, Abstinence is the key, If you can’t hold body use a condom, Be faithful, the ABC method Abstinence, Be faithful and Condom, don’t discriminate against People Living with HIV/AIDS and many more. The media from newspaper to Internet is filled with these types of messages in different forms and packages such as the language of the people. Moreso, people all over the world are been inundated with information that could help them protect themselves from been infected with HIV virus.
No doubt since 1983 when the deadly virus was discovered, the knowledge and people understanding of the virus has increased but the questions that need some pondering are people implementing the messages that are been disseminated by the various media? What is the present level of people perception about this pandemic despite the high level of information available?
Are people gettting the message of HIV/AIDS rightly?

The media is overwhelmingly advertising about the prevention of HIV & AIDS. There are still the instances where the males even dont know the proper use of condoms in the poor and developing countries. Usually the methods of using condoms are shown in finger or other artificial materials, see the impact what would happen to the illiterate, who never knows where it is used.
The new strategies like the groups of men should have to be formed and proper method of use of condom should have to be taught for the protection and prevention of HIV & AIDS, this small step can also be helpful....

my view on this dredful disease is that much has not been done to contain the situation globally.
The level at which HIVAIDS is spreading across the world is of serious concerned to me as little is been done in this fight. I think we must add some seriousness in fighting this killer disease. Now we tend to be paying much attentions to curing rather than preventions. In my opinon, we should not wait until somebody is been affected and then we start fining ways of giving drogs that could sustaine such an individual which is too bad.
As the saying goes "WE CANNOT FATTING THE PIG ON THE MARKET DAY" as non of the affected persons cannot afford the cost of just one of that medicine. therefore, we should apply all necessary measures to contain this killer disease in the world.

Yes, I agree with Sahr. There is much to be done in the field of HIV & AIDS.
The fact is that HIV & AIDS program counts the highest amount of funding in comparision to other diseases. Where it lags behind is that the extra expenses are more than 75% like in paying the employee and just 25% is spent in the program, which direclty has a negative impact that is we are always unable to meet the target that is set.
