It certainly does enhance education, as it allows us to access a vast range of information and to interact with it in revolutionary ways.
On the other hand, it also makes us more passive. There's no need to go to the library when we can access even more information on Google, and it is also the leading contributor to plagiarism!

Great! Thanks for your quick answer, Meaghan.
Plagiarism doesn't only exist online; it also happens in the library when people are just copying what are already written. A good student don't know attempt or do plagiarism. You can quote and mention the source if you are going to copy a brief statement or the entire article.

Jessie James

I agree that technology enhances education.
Through technology, it provides the easiest way to gain information. It may post the latest developments, researches, or inputs, that there is no need for us to wait for the next issue or latest edition of a textbook or journals to be published that sometimes take around months and even years.

Technology has both positive and negative effects on education.
Technology has helped a lot in bringing knowledge closer to the people. Information is easily accessed in all parts of the world through the computer and the internet. Teachers are helped in facilitating learning to students through various inventions in the world of technology. People are able to acquire the information they need without so much hustle.
On the other hand, student are becoming passive because of technology. In our place, students tend to spend more time in playing computer games rather than reading and studying their lessons. Also, with the internet, students are sometimes lazy to open books since they can find the data they need in the net.

I think every opportunity can be used in positive as well as negative ways,
technolgy being no exception.
I see that some points have been raised regarding plagiarism and reduced usage of libraries. But let us look at the opportunities that technology provides us:
Easy access, interactive and interesting ways of learning, better ways of communictaing with people far off, and indulging in online discussions such as this one are just a few examples of what can be done through technology.
In my opinion, technology has really enhanced eductaion by facilitating the "process".

Perfect, Sagar. That's what I am always saying. In your case, did you experience the negative effects, in there is any, of technology to you?

Yes, definitely, because it can make us to get to an information easier. Like when I receive an assignment to some research, I look for the information I want on the internet which can be easily found because there are lots of websites that has these informations and these websites can be easily found by using search engine websites.
Moreover, technology will make education to be more simple because there will be tools to integrate and support the teacher when teaching.

Yes I believe that technology can enhance education. Technology I guess can make learning easier for students by finding information easily and fast. Visual learners can use technology to thier benefit to use pictures, powerpoints, videos and other things to help them learn and put together what they learn in a way that they can understand it. Also technology can be fun to use, a lot more fun than working out of a text book anyway! well thats my opinion. So from this I would say that technology more enhances the student's capability and 'drive' to learn, because in todays society, the more interesting and easy it is to learn at school, the more students will want to learn. So lets utilise technology to benefit our learning I say.

It does enhance education to a certain extent. Students nowadays are stimulated more when technology is incorporated in the learning process. Based on my observation, students are somehow more excited to learn with the use of technology. They are more eager to respond compared to when the conventional learning methods are used.Students can interact with other students from other parts of the world to share ideas and info which makes the learning process all the more interesting.
But I do have to say that it also makes students lazier. As an example, when asked to do a project that is also done by students throughout the country, most of the students can just go online and google it and just like that they've completed their project without any innitiative of their own.
