The Maasai have largely managed to remain separate from mainstream African culture and maintain their traditional ways, although this becomes more challenging each year. For this reason Maasai are increasingly seeking opportunities African society has to offer. With little government support Maasai struggle to find teachers and medical professionals to work in their schools and hospitals.
• Volunteer Accommodation:
While volunteering, volunteers will be accommodated in either a home stay or dormitory situation. Host families have all been carefully selected to provide you with a safe family environment and an insight into Kenyan life.
Reception of Volunteers
A member of staff will meet you on arrival and help transport you to your location.
Program participation fees
Application Fees: €60.00. Application fees covers administration, program information, communication and the airport pick up. With the remainder of your fee due for payment eight weeks before you begin your placement.
Program participation Fees covers:
• Nairobi city centre orientation
• Orientation seminar
• Accompany and introduction to your project site
• meals and accommodation during placement
• Project monitoring and evaluation
• Administrative expenses
