I don't get why people litter. I think it's utter laziness and disrespect to the earth.
What pisses me off the most is when there's a garbage bin right there and they still throw it on the ground!
It's as though people like floods,erosion and landslides etc. Yes a little piece of paper contributes to these things. People are so ignorant that they don't even realize that they are slowly killing themselves.
Littering causes: floods - clogs up the drains and they overflow,
erosion - water causes erosion and in a flood (caused by litter) erosion occurs,
landslides - sometimes caused by erosion (it's a chain reaction),
vermin and is a breeding ground for bacteria,
fire - accumulating litter and cigarette buds are a fire hazard,
pollutes water and
harms animals - plastic can choke and suffocate birds and marine life (when it floats in lakes,seas and ocean).
Here are also a lot of health factors to consider here
What i don't get is why people can't just throw it in a bin! Is that really so hard? Well is it?

I don't know where you live but here there's garbage everywhere and none likes throwing things in the bin. I think they like the sight of rotten garbage, waste paper, plastic buried in fertile grounds, etc. There all also people who would prefer not to pay the city corporation appointed garbage collector, even though the fee per month is ridiculously cheap, but throw their garbage somewhere near their homes or on some empty space.
Even I don't get why people litter. Why do they throw plastic cups on roads after drinking coffee or eating ice cream. And they're well dressed and educated people.
