Ethnic Cleansing in Yugoslavia

Yugoslavia fractured along ethnic lines in the 1990's with some republics declaring independence and breaking off to form new states. The Serbs declared independence in Bosnia and conflict was broken. Serbia wanted to stay with Yugoslavia so the country would become a greater. Why do you think that people who were non-serbs, had to leave?
