well to be honest with you some african teams are great at football, however this world cup i think some dont have a chance, if you saw argentine ,england , france and spain in the qualifying games to world cup and the players each team includes... i think it would be a difficult one but i wish all the african teams the best of luck and hope they could win it this time...
cheers.

The world cup is almost here and I know of a lot of people who are eagerly awaiting this.

Good luck to all the teams!

The World Cup is often praised due to the sheer magnitude of the event and the impact it has. 32 countries from around the world all come to one place and compete, not to mention the number of other countries involved in the qualification process. The tournament can stop a war (the Ivory Coast put its civil war on hold and united to support its team in the 2006 World Cup) and strengthen relations between nations. Can the World cup be viewed as a globalizing force as different countries interact more frequently (whether they are a third-world country or one of the major players) and more have access to modern technology? For example, in the upcoming World Cup, North Korea has qualified for the first time since 1966. Do you think the increased publicity the country will face as well as the more frequent interactions with world-powers will help North Korea start participating more in the global economy? Or is the World Cup just another example of western imperialism, as FIFA (the organization that runs the World Cup) is primarily made up of western powers and set rules that favor them? (For example, the World Cup is played after most European Soccer Leagues have ended so their players won't have scheduling conflicts)

Oh dear, it is going to be that time when there is nothing on television but silly men kicking balls about.

Everybody forgets about global warming and jets into a far away country from all over the world. A bit like global warming protesters really.

argentine

is the team who want more than the others to win the WC2010

and they had an easy draw

so they are for me the N1 team to win it.

England have a very good team and they can be in the final game.

There are no posiblities for South African soccer team winning the cup because THEY SUCK IN SOCCER. I even don't know what kind of sports does South Africa plays........Oh, wait probably truck and field, but that is another story with gender......
The thing is that I believe that the top on finals would for sure be some Europeans and probably Brazil, I don't know about South African but Ghana, Senegal play really good soccer. So the future is upcoming and it's exciting, I hope it would be the best World Cup in century of world cups.

You're totally right, that's why so many tourists are not considering visiting South Africa for the world cup, also recently there happened incident with Canadian tourists in forest of South African, they have been beaten up and robbed.

I hope that the government of South African would have control of thiefs and criminals.

For 18 year old, you know too much history. I think you have to chill and enjoy life. Yes you are right even with FIFA making South Africa country that would be responsible and celebrate the world soccer cup still wouldn't make a country any better as examples as you said previously. But let right now, not forecast what is going to happen, but hope for a beter future you know.

Sorry, but who cares about Argentina, they won't win and they aren't the greatest in world soccer. You forgot about the countries such as Brazil, Ghana, Nigeria, Spain, England, France, Croatia, Italy, and Portugal. Those countries for real have real soccer, and when I am saying that, I am meaning they have soccer in THEIR BLOOD, IN THEIR BLOOD so Argentina, well I DO NOT SEE MANY ARGENTINIANS SOCCER PLAYERS PLAYING IN THE BIG AFRICAN, EUROPEAN OR BRAZILIAN SOCCER TEAMS. Plus after MaraDONNA who else is going to pay attention on such team. I hope them best, not like I am hating on POOR ARGENTINIANS I am just don't understand why do every 4 years people still talk about Argentina, if they hadn't won the world soccer cup for sooooooo long.

Yes, they have been in semi final, but OUT OF SEMINALS!!!!!!!!! THEY GO NOWHERE!!!!! yes they have very strong defense in their players but nothing else. U KNOW..................

It seem that Germany is favorite for this world cup. But it may be a big upset in this cup.
