Crisp Thinking Group is offering an Anti-Grooming Engine (AGE) for online child protection. What it does is it detects grooming behavior from potential online predators and as soon as it recognizes this grooming behavior, it will alert both the parent and child by sending out a text notification.
“It looks at over 200 factors including sexual content and punctuation, aggression levels and sentence length, typing speed and vocabulary. It compares all these elements with dynamic, minutely detailed profiles of real-life groomers and real-life boys and girls.”
My question is how effective and trustworthy do you think using software to protect your child from online predators would be? Would you be comfortable using AGE as an online safeguard for your children and students alone?
Or would you out rule it on the grounds that no software is foolproof and capable of formulaically defining and identifying a pedophile?
It also raises the question: Do all online pedophiles participate in this characteristic grooming behavior or do some connect with and lure children using an undetectable, harmless friend approach throughout their online encounters?
For more information on the software, please visit the official website at: http://www.crispthinking.com/anti-grooming-engine.htm#
