I am an actress and I do alot of theatre.I work with Heartsrings Ensemble which is a theatre group that helps nuture young talents. We recently just stageed a play in my mother tongue-Dholou.It was a comedy but the messsage behind it was touching.A cultural pracice that is still prominent in some communities here in kenya. It was about a young girl who has just fnished high school and her father wants to marry her off to the highest bidder. She,however, cooks up a plan to marry her boyffriend who has just finished high school and has no money.
