Volunteer&Advice Wanted: networking project between African and Japanese people

Hi everyone!
My name is Miki, living in Japan. I have worked in Japanese NGO and now, with people I met thanks to that NGO, I will start a new project to produce places where people in Africa and Japan meet and work together.
That's why I need your participation and advice.
With volunteers of that new project, living in Africa and Japan, let us plan the activities, coordinate places where people in Africa and Japan meet/ work together and aim mutual understanding!
For the moment, I am thinking to conduct activities such as the coordination of places to work together by involving students/ universities/ CSOs/ private companies/ local governments/ professional groups of both side. But the concrete activities will be decided with future volunteers.
Please reply if you have any advice or if you are interested in becoming volunteer (we will discuss by using mail and skype) . Any comments are welcome!

That is a very nice project that I'm sure many young people would be interested in.
I am however sceptical on how it will be handled. Africa and Asia are hot beds for initiatives that are well meaning but come to nought in the end. I suggest that you begin small then expand as time goes by. I dentify a few countries that you would like to work in then identify their underlying issues. HIV/ AIDS, much as it is threat has been overdone and unless you have a new and innovative approach, then I would suggest education, health and environment.
