Tit for Tat in Democratic governance

In fact, recent democratic governance trends in Ghana and most part of Africa is characterized by "you do me, I do you" princple. Thus, tit for tat ideas.
After the peaceful election in last december, some sympathizers of the incumbent government(National Democratic Congress)have been attacking some personalities of the previous government(New Patriotic Party).Just last week a certain man in Kumasi,Ghana popularly known as Appiah stadium's car was burnt down by certain gang groups.
Again, there was a clash between two ethnic groups in Accra, the Abudu and the Andani. So many people sustain injuries and properties were destroyed. All because the Abudus are claimed to be supporters of the previous government. Therefore, the Andani people find it an opportunity to attack the other faction just because their party is in power.
The reason for all these is that the previous government was perceived by the other party supporters as victimizing their leaders.
This is because some of them were found to caused financial lost to the state as a result need to be trial by court of jurisdiction.
I may at last plead to all spheres of people to tolerate each other to sustain the effective democratic governance.
