[Poll] Is Democracy Really Just Feudalism With Spin

It occurs to me that the principle of democracy is that we get the right to vote our freedoms and rights away once every 4 or 5 years to a representative who has no need or desire to vote representatively on my behalf. To me this seems like a new form of slavery. My choices are simple
1. Work.
2. Starve.
3. Crime.
As a moral being option 3 is not available to me. Option 1, work means that most of my effort is for the benefit of either an organisation or an individual whose only input seems to be taking more of the whole than I receive.Alternatively I can set up my own company and exploit others. Again as a moral being this is not a choice for me.
Am I the only one who feels like this?
Are We Just Slaves To Rich People?

its no secret that that the rich and powerful control mostly everything in the world. maybe its just a mindset - to believe the rich are powerful and the others, the lesser privileged are the slaves. it says a lot about how we humans view ourselves and measure our worth by what we have, what we can afford, what power we wield, than by what we stand for, and what we can stand for.
