Hi Alaa
I read that article as well. From what I have seen, some people rely on social networking sites for all of their contact. This lack of physical contact, whether touching or face to face conversation, must affect social development, particularly in young people.
I am not in the medical field and am unable to judge the article for accuracy, but my own thoughts are that it is very likely that complete lack of social contact (we are talking about the extreme end of website users)could lead to mental health issues and then possibly physical symptoms.
I wonder if a similar study has been done on hermits, lighthouse keepers and other people who live fairly isolated lives, with little physical human contact.

Hi,
Maybe not now - but in a few months - there is going to some at the least very angry and upset young people - when every piece of personal information (that BTW is owned by Facebook) is effectively "sold" to advertisers. Facebook wants to cash in on personal information.
What is effectively a "private" site now - will become a "public" site. Hopefully posts et al won't go public - but certainly personal information will be made available to individuals / organisations that facebook members would not have intended. It always pays to read the terms and conditions when signing up to sites like Facebook.
Cheers
