I'm just wondering how on earth did the woman get "permission" to inject her friend with urine.
Well, it terms of urine therapy, I'm rather skeptical about it. It's basically your body getting rid of nitrogenous waste. I don't see how putting that back into your body would help. At least you're not adding any other microbes - in general - since urine is meant to be sterile.
I doubt you'd die from it either. Since compared to urea (which has a much much higher concentration of nitrogenous waste), urine is rather dilute.
Some people may argue that urine contains some "nutritional value" since it contains minerals and vitamins. However, it's perhaps worthy to note why they're there in the first place - your body didn't need it.
I guess urine *could* become a source for water in desperate situations.

Thanks dude for the link and the info. I am really amazed to see that the therapy has had its origin in India... Surprising! I am hearing this for the first time!
Don't we have any regulations or laws internationally or in any specific regions governing this??

Since it's urine, I doubt you're going to see any huge changes in law and regulation policies. People can easily access information about this... natural remedy and they can practise it as they wish.
I would believe that it would become an issue when medical professionalism comes into question. If doctors started opening "urine therapy" clinics... then there's going to be some controversy.
Personally, I haven't heard of such clinics in Australia so far.
