Do you want to transform the educational system in the U. S.? Here's how....
Have the superintendent, the principals, the teachers, and the guidance counselors all live in the same neighborhoods their students live in. Next make it policy that their children go to the same schools. Overnight you will see a change in the quality of education in the innercity. No longer will they come in from the suburbs. No longer will they be teaching other people's children. They will have a real stake in the community. It will be their children's futures on the line. They will fight for equal and fair education. They will fight for the best education.
