Will President Obama be able to oversee peacefully?

I have always perceived the previous US presidents as Heads of a World Police.
On the other hand, I would rather see him in the role of a leader of peace, not having to use weapons.
Shall this be possible with President Obama?

I'm sure he will. That's what the world hopes for.

I think even if he doesn't turn out to be who we hope he is, he's done enough to inspire a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't be inspired!
A little bit of hope goes a long way...!!

There are very powerful forces behind the scene trying to steer the U.S. into conflict with Iran.(Refer to my TIG blog "Changing U.S. Foreign Policy). Everyone looks good compared to George Bush. Besides, President Obama looks great in a suit. He can dance better than any other president in history. When he speaks, you want to believe. I need to believe....lets see what happens.

Alex Roden: I think that you sum it all up pretty well: We all need to believe.

Based on current events of his order to bomb Pakistan, I would say peace is not a top priority for the new president. Surprise, Surprise.

Yes, I am afraid that the script is of war rather than peace. Too bad....
