trust in globalization
August 24, 2003 - 05:23 AM

why do many people stand against globalization? specially when it comes to poor or developed countries ! i think its because people in those countries always think that greater countries are using globalization in a selfish way. the greater wants to be the greatest without considering that this will bring the weak weaker. there's no mutual trust in the intentions behind globalization between weak and stong nations.

YOUTH AND HIV/AIDS
August 24, 2003 - 10:43 AM

Greeting from Uganda,
Iam wrting to share my experience with the rest of world youths.
Uganda is one country that is battling the Aids epedemic. The role of the youth in this battle in my country is advocacy, lobbying stakeholders,Government and other palyers to join the struggle.
We have been successful simply becourse the youth have been so open and assertive with the facts about this disease.
My role in this struggle has been to train Peer Educators, conduct drama and music shows regarding the epidemic and its dangers to the economy, population and the social wellbeing.
I urge the world youth to follow my example and help the world from this monster. We are the leaders of tomorrow and our tomorrow is day.
regards,

Well firstly, most people dont really understand what globalisation actually is, they just see it as lots of McDonalds. Secondly they only see/the media only allows them to see/ the negative aspects/instances of globalisation. If utalised properly then indeed it could help many, but in its present form it quite often does have negative consequences.

If youre interested in globalisation you might find this useful....

very good work abedi. a really very noble job this u do to fight the aids epidemic. i'm sure u'll be very helpful to ur country and people. also, it's a very good idea to use music and drama. no doubt they're the most powerful tools to make use of, they can get right to hearts and motivate people to stand beside u in this fight. go on and God be with u smile
