WHAT DO WE SEE IN A MIRROR?

What do we see in a mirror or what determines the image we see? Does the mirror deceive us or do we deceive ourselves into seeing the image of our dreams? These questions may remain surmises as there is no single objective way to isolate the hubris of the subject, object or observer taking the evaluation. How much of what we believe is true or truly true? (True to the extent of being free from the learned truths and the subconscious promptings that are beyond our control?)

I totally agree with that point. An individual who has a disorted view/opinion of themselves would be more likely to tell themselves [consciously or subconsciously] what they want to hear.
Its kind of like the saying that goes something like 'the camera doesn't lie' But with so many factors [lighting, editing, angles] I think it IS possible that the camera could lie...?

I'd like my reflection to be the image of me in my mind. Sadly that's not true. When I look at myself, if I've done something bad, I feel like I'm looking at the worst person in the world. Luckily I can't see my soul in the mirror. I'd probably be horrified.

Well what we see in a mirror is a reflection of picture of the container holding our souls, as it is just an image of a shape for me it doesn't define us or deceive us in anyway unless you were someone that really cares about how you look, so you deceive yourself somehow, a mirror as a camera does not capture feelings, ideas, or emotions, so it doesn't capture anything that is us in anyway, so it's merely a picture of a shape and it really doesn't matter how it looks unless it's really in a bad shape.

What you see in a mirror is exactly what you are, a mirror cannot project something that isn't there. A mirror shows point blank the core of who we are. Somewhere along the interpretation process the mind distorts the image received by the eyes using it to boost self worth and ego or lowers them making us feel less than we really are.
Before we can face the true reflection within the mirror we must come to terms with or fears and accept our many flaws. We must understand that on the ultimate level, no matter what status or power we hold, how many houses or cars we have or how fat our wallets are, one day... we will all die. Our riches will rot and all our cars, houses....everything will whither away. Rich or poor, strong or weak we will all share that fate. Then and then only then can we truly accept the real image within the mirror.
"Life is fleeting, life is short...Who controls your life?" (after thought)

We see whatever we want to, in anything and that includes a mirror.Though the mirror shows the same image different people have different ways of interpretating it.

When we look in the mirror we see an exact reflection of what we look like to others. Although we pick and choose the bad and good things we see. Therefore some of what we see in the mirror is our minds telling us what's really there.

What is the mirror we are looking at, how others see you is the action you take in life, the way you live your life.
It is alway amaizing people remember you or judge you for what you do and what you do not do, Let your actions be the mirror you look at, you are judged by what you do and who you are, your actions determine who you are.
When refelcting on who you are or who you want to be, keep this in mind, be a person who you would want as a friend.

the mirror is like a robot/android/computer - it doesnt make mistaked, humans are the ones that mistake, so generally people deceive themselves.
sometimes they cant accept the truth and keep on lying until they believe the lie its true

This is so true. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. No amount of persuasion can convince a girl that she is pretty if she does not believe it. A mirror will show us "what is" and it is up to us to decide what we want to see.

Well that's very interesting question. Many people see in the mirror their friends and some see their enemies . The problem is with the person's self esteem. There is a big big debate about what do we see in a mirror  because we all have different opinion on ourselves and our body. The same can attach to  our personalities, some think of themselves as being good some see as being bad, and it goes on and on round and round. The most important is to always see the positive in everything you see, but don't forget that the mirror is just a glass, what is important is what in your heart.
