Where is the future of Zimbabwe?????
December 11, 2008 - 09:30 AM

Political thugs, war vetrans, hunger and deseases like chorela have claimed alot of lives in Zimbabwe in a very short space of time. Is the Zimbabwean government still living on saving the people of the land or the people in government offices are living on to fattening their pockets at the expense of the tax payers?. I think Zimbabweans have suffered enough over one man's greed, they need a strong voice of the youth to voice out, they are the future of Zimbabwe. Most of the leaders in government are old they have nothing to loose even if they destroy the nation, because they know their days are numbered they have not left any offspring that will suffer anyway. They liberated Zimbabwe yes we agree but that does not guarrantee that they own the nation. Zimbabwe needs a taste change in leadership. (There are people in Zimbabwe that claim to be war vetrans but they are only 40 years old! then the question is how old were they during independence? Fake war vetrans)

this is the evidence of lack of information on your part.
The future of Zimbabwe is with Zimbabweans including our President RG Mugabe as our leader.
Your own president(cameroun) is not that clean.hea has his own blunders why not call for his removal--oh he is a friend of the West i think.
Mugabe we voted for him on June 27 as per our constitution.
Before you remove the speck in the eyes of the next person while you have a log in your eye!
Long live Mugabe!Long live our president
Aluta Continua President!

Brother Davyk, i agree with the fact that maybe some parts of Africa and the world have not been given true information about the situation in Zimbabwe and may not be able to know exactly what is going on. I should already be thinking Zimbabweans have not informed the world about the truth then.
How do you explain the fact that close to 9000 people have been reported to have died from Chorela alone, some killed during the election period, others are leaving Zimbabwe to other countries, and your president RG almost denied any (medical) help from the UN and any western country?
A good example is Zambia where on saturday,a woman, one of the Zimbabweans selling sweets on the streets of Lusaka collapsed and died in the market area, am i begining to understand (from your comment Davyk)that Zimbabweans are running away from their country because they just love exploring other neighbouring countries or something? and if so, why this time? what has happened in Zimbabwe forcing masses of people selling sweets on the streets of poor little Lusaka? We are glad we have Zimbabweans on TIG like you, so how do you explain that since you are in Zimbabwe Mr. Davyk?

It's a pity that President Mugabe who fought for the independence of Zimbabwe and was imprisoned several times by the colonialist will now be seen in negative light.
Mugabe just like many African leaders dont know when tne party is over. I think this sit tight attitude is inherent in traditional African style of governnance where tenure of office of a chief or king is for life.
However in todays world such style of governance will not advance the course of Modern society where democracy, equality, political freedom and imroved living condition should be paramount.
One of Mugabe's initial justification for holding on to power was the land redristibution issue which was a great injustice commited by Britain. The British government at indepence promised to pay a compensation of 3million pounds to the white farmers so that they will leave the land. They failed to do this in 1980. The colonial masters made the independence constituton impossible to be ammended untill after ten years. Without ammending the constitution land redristibution cannot commence. Mugabe and Zimbabwe lived with that dubious and Imperfect constitution for ten years. In 1990 when ammendment of the constitution is to commence and the land issue adressed, African leaders appealed to Mugabe to thread with caution as this may affect the fight against aparthied in South Africa. He accepted and waited untill the struggle on aparthied has been won and mandela assumed office, before he started addressing the issue of land. Mugabe and Indeed Zimbabweans have been patient with this injustices.
Britain cannot absolve herself of blame in the Zimbabwe issue. On the other hand Mugabe should have finished the Land redistibution issue and bow out of office. No one individual can claim to be the only solution to a county's problem. The reports round the world about health and economic situation in Zimbabwe is not encouraging and this are pointers for Mugabe to take the path of honour before his great contribution to his beloved counrtry is rubbished. Other African leaders Like Biya of cameroun, Bongo of Gabon, Nguema of Central Africa, Dos Santos of Angola, Mubarak of Egypt, Bouteflika of Algeria, Gadaffi Of Libya and Al Bashir of Sudan should know that if they drop dead their countries will still forge ahead with others at the helm of affairs. Their countries can do with out them. God Bless Africa.

I have just heard that Zimbabwe's monetary system is not powerful any longer.I have known inflation is so high. The goverment needs to be replaced. One of the problem of poor and developing country is that talent people usually leave their homeland. So if they wanna change the politics, they have to find these people out first. We need a new politic system here.

The future of Zimbabwe lies with the Zimbabweans. How can someone come to your aid when you rally behind the cause of your problems - Mugabe. On his birth day, you joined him to consume 2.5 billion dollars and yet, asking for help. Nonesense!
If you cannot see Mugabe as a problem, then you have no problem
