Right now, I’m learning how to contribute to make the world a better place for all. Waite a minute, did I hear you say after life? I didn’t get it!

I also want to learn how to improve life for everyone. What is one interesting or useful thing that you have learned recently?
Recently, I've been learning about Japanese, Buddhism, math, and ways that I can help others.

I haven't learned a lot about Buddhism yet. The main Buddhist ideas seem to be about the causes of suffering and how to avoid them. We suffer because we have strong desires or attachments to worldly things. For example, people get really upset when they lose the people and possessions that they care about.
Another idea in Buddhism that I think is important is "the middle path": avoid extremes and try to do what is between them.

What do you mean by "Iman"? Also are you Muslim? (The idea of moderation is a Muslim belief, as well...right?)
I think that Buddha came to his understanding of the world through meditation, while sitting under a tree for a long time. Buddhism seems to stress finding answers for yourself, through meditation. I don't know a lot about Buddhism, though. Can someone please add more details about Buddhism?
