Are these measures enough?
December 7, 2008 - 06:03 AM

Terrorists attack on Mumbai paves ways to too many questions. Everyone is asking and pointing figures on government, intelligence services and the system as the whole. The owners of the hotels were alarmed few days back of the happening of some bad incidence, but still their security measures were not enough to stop what is proved to be the biggest attack on financial capital of India. Such an attack would have been deferred if the intelligence service would have been more accurate in their actions, if the government would have been reacted faster, and if the security measures would have been more prompt. But are these measures really enough to prevent such terrorists’ attack? The answer is No! As several security experts say, no system is foolproof. The terrorists who attacked the grand hotels like Taj and Oberoi and the Jewish’s Nariman House were supposedly aged from 20 to 27 and the one who is captured by the commandos is only 21 years of age. He is said to have the schooling up till fourth grade only. A boy who has not even gained full primary education is so well versed with the guns, grenades and high technology, got three months of training and life long feeling of Jihad. If the terrorist can pick small kids and brainwash their mind in the name of jihad and ruin their innocent childhood and then entire life, then why can’t the army help such kids with their education, training and bestow them with the feeling of nationalism instead of jihad. If they are to be turned into the action men then why don’t in army instead of terrorism. If the army, government and the society as a whole helps all those poor young men and women and especially kids (whose fate is turned by some cruel terrorists) by giving them the knowledge of humanism and by not neglecting their fragile mind which turns in any direction one influence it. Helping a poor, growing mind through education for the sake of his/her future, nation, and society is more than anything else in this world. By doing this we may never face any such traumatized stage where loved ones are lost, such property destruction and many martyrs. Our lives, we will be free to live fearlessly and we shall be happy to see our closed ones safe.
